Dear East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs and Families,
Thank you for a most wonderful 2015-2016 school year. We continue to get that much closer to our vision: All students will graduate college-ready, empowered with the skills and passion to positively impact their own lives, their community and the global society.
We want to thank the entire EPAA family for making it all possible:
Attendance improved from 90.7% to 92.6% daily attendance
We awarded over $500,000 in scholarships
Over 97% of EPAA graduates are heading off to colleges such as UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, SF State, SJ State, USF, Agnes Scott, Cañada College, Foothill College and DeAnza College
We grew our team to include more support for college with our College Success Counselor, Mr. José Rodriguez and our College Information Specialist, Mr. José Heredia
EPAA Students contributed over 4,500 hours in community service to positively impact their own lives, their community and the global society!
Next year we will do even more to pursue our ambitious goals:
Daily attendance will be at the same rate as students from Las Lomitas (95.8%), which would earn our school over $405 a day, and as much as $8,505 a month!
We will increase the number of seniors going directly to universities and four years colleges with scholarships
All students will complete their 25 hours of annual community service
We will increase the number of students actively engaged in meaningful after school and summer internships, programs and classes
We will see more parents actively participating on a monthly basis in workshops, meetings and special events
